RENE M. SEYNAEVE, age 78, lifetime resident of Spring Branch, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2001. Mr. Seynaeve was a lifetime member of Spring Branch VFW Post #8790, was a veteran of WW II where he served in the 862nd Engineer Aviation Battalion. While serving his country, Mr. Seynaeve received the Purple Heart, American Campaign, European African Middle Eastern Campaign and WW II Victory medals. He was also a member of Senior Friends. Mr. Seynaeve was preceded in death by his daughter Suzanne Irene Seynaeve Spencer, granddaughter Seely Ruth Rene Spencer, sister Irma Brenner. Surviving are his daughter Patricia Seynaeve; sons Terry M. Seynaeve and wife Cyndy, Tim R. Seynaeve and wife Diana; brother George S. Seynaeve; sister Irene Balsley; grandchildren Daniel, Karissa and Stephen Tankersley, Russell Marcell Seynaeve, Elayne Michelle Seynaeve, Chase Rene Seynaeve, Art Alfaro, Jennifer Alfaro. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM, Friday, March 16, 2001 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston where Funeral Services will be held 11:30 A.M., Saturday, March 17, 2001. Interment services to follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

Chase Travis Nelms, 21, died Thursday, April 13, 2006, in Ingleside, Texas. He was born November 27, 1984, in Humble, Texas to Charles ?Packy? Nelms, Jr. and Shari Orr Nelms. Chase was a devoted husband, brother, son and friend.
Chase was an active duty member as a Mineman in the U.S. Navy since January 22, 2004, stationed in Ingleside, Texas. He was also a member of Magnolia Creek Baptist Church of League City, Texas. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, rock climbing, teasing his family and friends and riding his bicycle which he rode in the MS150 many times along with his father.
Preceded in death by his father Charles ?Packy? Nelms, Jr., Chase is survived by his wife Hayleigh Hockenbury Nelms; mother Shari Nelms of League City; sister Chantelle Nelms of Seabrook; grandparents Charles ?Pack? Nelms Sr., and Patsy Nelms of New Caney; mother-in-law Julie Dillon of Texas City; sister-in-law Shelby Dillon of Santa Fe; aunts Lorene Miller and husband Dennis of New Caney, and Dorrie Patterson and husband Joe Vaughn of New Caney; uncle Raymond Nelms and wife Jerri of Santa Fe; cousins Summer McNew, Patricia Nelms, DJ Miller, Cody Nelms, Ross Nelms, and Keegan Nelms; and numerous friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2006, at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City, Dr. Brett Dutton officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Webster. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow the memorial service and interment at the home of Raymond and Jerri Nelms, 2822 Avenue L, Santa Fe, Texas 77510
