Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River
Blvd., Friday, October 26 at 2:30 p.m. for Tommie Thelma Rambaud, 86, who
passed away October 21, 2001. Tommie was born on August 18, 1915 in
Stephens County, Oklahoma to Arthur and May Graves. She retired from Kern
Medical Center as an LVN after 26 years in the medical field. Tommie was
preceded in death by a daughter, Joy Gordon; son, Joe Snow, Marion M.
Snow, the father of her four children, Robert V. Reed, Ed Rambaud;
grandson, Michael Snow and great grandson, Matthew Hughes. She is survived
by her son, M.M. Snow of Roseville, CA; daughter, Nelda Arrington and her
husband Nelson of Myrtle Beach, SC; her granddaughter and care giver,
Teresa Allen; 14 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; three great great
grandchildren; sister, Zelma Hulsey of OK; and brothers, Kenneth Graves of
Bakersfield, Wayne Graves of WA and Charles Graves of CA. We marvel at her
optimism, courage, and stamina even during the last few years after she
lost her sight. Visitation begins Thursday at 3 p.m. Greenlawn Mortuary

Rites Saturday For M.L. Dawes Methodist Church
Services were in the Carnegie First Methodist church Saturday for Martin Luther Dawes, 79, who died July 7 in the home of his son, Luther Dawes, in Midwest City. Rev. Roy Rowlan, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery, under the direction of the Pitcher Funeral home.
Dawes had been in declining health for the past year. He was born in Springtown, Texas, August 5, 1875. He was married to Jennettie Erwin October 22, 1899, near Rocky. To them were born two daughters and seven sons. One daughter, Lydia, and one son, Earnest, preceded him in death.
He moved with his family to the Carnegie community in January of 1924. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Dawes is survived by his wife, Jennettie, of Carnegie; one daughter, Flossie Harris, of Oklahoma City; and six sons, Earl, of South America; Drew, Borger, Tex.; Albert, Plainview, Tex.; Lee, Clovis, N.M.; Luther, Midwest City, and Jack, of Bethany.
Other survivors include 27 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
