Funeral services for Amelia A. Salo, 69, of Eben Junction, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Boweman Funeral Chapel of Munising, with the Rev. Leslie Niemi officiating.
Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery of Chatham.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Munising Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born March 1, 1913, in Osierburg, Mich.; she was a life-long resident of the Forest Lake and Eben areas.
She was a homemaker. Her husband, Victor died on Jan. 4, 1979, and her son, Elmer died Jan. 2, 1971.
Surviving are four sons, Walfred and Robert, both of Eben Junction, Dennis of Silverton, Colo., and Leroy of Munising; three sisters; Mrs. John (Irene) Mattson of Negaunee, Mrs Bill (Kathryn) Hamalainen of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs Ruth Hietikko of Sundell; 16 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
