Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2007, at the Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow, with Larry Wortham officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Billie was born November 28, 1928 in Fletcher, Oklahoma, to Clyde and Jewell P. Knight Lamb. Billie attended Rocky Ford and Keichi schools. She married the late Eldon D. "Cotton" Cowley on August 21, 1948 in Sonora, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1997. She lived in the Marlow, Lawton and Rush Springs area all of her life. Billie loved to play bingo and drink coffee at the High Chaparral with her friends. She enjoyed shopping for shoes and purses. Billie was a lover of life and she loved to tell jokes and tease with people. She liked being around her family. Billie was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion and the Eastside Baptist Church.
Her survivors include a daughter, Marsha Bess of Marlow; three grandchildren, Brendon Perkins and wife Trista of Marlow, Shelly Filer amd husband Keith of Bangkok, Thailand, and Angie O'Neal and husband Mark of Marlow; seven great-grandchildren, Jake O'Neal, Jordan Perkins, Megan O'Neal, Jaret Perkins, Ethan Filer, Chance O'Neal, and Gracyn Filer; three sisters-in-law, Glee Jones and husband Ashton, Billie Mixon and husband Cleo, and Marie Cannaday and husband Jimmy.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Glendon F. Cowley; a daughter, Deborah ElJean Cowley; her parents; two brothers, C.C. Anderson and E.E. Anderson; and nine sisters, Geneva Schwarte, Lucille Hamilton, Betty Cagle, Lois Lamb, Mae Reynolds, Opal Sparlin, Clarice Williams, Fanny Belle Anderson and Naomi Ashlock.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Hill, Jimmy Burton, Bruce Nite, Ronnie Riley, Curtis Hutton, Doyle Crownover and Eddie Lamb.

GRANVILLE L. MITCHELL, 51, Rt. 3, Box 334C, Marlow, died Monday, April 10, 1989, in a Duncan hospital.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Eastside Church of Christ, with Ron Stough officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Mitchell was born May 23, 1937, in Duncan. He married Marsha Devonne Cowley on June 27, 1980, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He retired from Ridley's Packing Plant in 1976 after 22 years of service. He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of the hme; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Richard and Danita Loney of Broken Arrow, Ken and Fara Fawn Mettler of Omaha, Neb., and Angie Perkins of Marlow; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joe and Lori Mitchell of Duncan, and Brendon Perkins of Marlow; a brother, Don Mitchell of Cyril; four sisters, Bernadean Burch, Corine Burch, Faye Towell and Reba Gentry, all of Duncan; an aunt, Nellie Brake of Duncan; and three grandchildren.
