Funeral services for Mrs. Martha L. Patterson were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow. Rev. Joe Woodson and Rev. W. M.. Howard officiated.
Mrs. Patterson was born March 12, 1901in Antelope, Texas and died Friday in the Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha after an extended illness. She lived in Marlow since 1948.
She was married on Sept. 10. 1916 to Thomas Roger Patterson at Archer City, Texas. He preceeded her in death on 1973. She was amember ofyjr Marlow Goshel Tabernacle Church.
Burial was in the Marlow Cemetery.
Survivors include four sons Roger and Jphn of Bray, Thomas Roy of Fairview, and Joel of Perkins, five daughters, Mrs. Jewel Chambers of Marlow, Mrs. Bert Largent, Lindsay, Mrs. Margaret Elamof Marlow, Mrs. Nevlyn Whtbark and Mrs. m> L. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church Thursday afternoon for Noel Lyndal Bilberry, 7, son of Mr. And Mrs. Vinson Bilberry. Death occurred at Brawley, Calif., Monday. Arrangements were made and the body brought overland to Spur, arriving here about two o'clock Thursday morning. Interment was Spur Cemetery with Campbell's Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
According to reports the child suffered a fall about a month before his death, receiving injuries in the section of the thorax. He was kept out of school for a few days and then seemed all right and returned to school. He went home from school Monday of last week and blood began to emit from his mouth. A physician was called, but nothing could seem to relieve his conditions and the child passed away about ten o'clock Monday night, being ill only a few hours.

The survivors are the parents, a sister, Imogene, 8, and a brother, Kenneth Dale, 4: the grandparents, Mr. And Mrs. E.J. Bilberry of Espuela community, and Mrs. Bronson, the great grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. J.V. Bilberry of Spur, a number of aunts and uncles, and great aunts and great uncles.

Rev. B.B. Huckabay, pastor of the Baptist Church at Dickens and Espuela, read the funeral rites.

Funeral services were held for Sammy Joe Bilberry, 2 1/2, son of Mr. and Mrs. Venson Bilberry, at 2 p.m., Wed., Feb. 21 at the Baptist church, Rev. L.S. Bilberry and Herman Coe officiating.
Sammy Joe was born June 22, 1942 and died Feb. 20, 1945 at Nichols hospital following a major operation.

He is survived by his parents, one sister, Ima Jean, and two brothers, Harold Royce and Francis Don.

Pallbearers were D.B. Chaney, Roy Caplinger, W.E. Ball and John Gregson.

Services for Mrs. Bertsye Virginia Bilberry, 78, were held at 3 p.m. March 24 in the First Baptist Church, Spur, with pastor Rev. Genoa Goad officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Victor Crabtree, retired Baptist minister.
She died March 22 in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock, following a lengthy illness. Born September 17, 1908, in Collin County, she married Elmer Bilberry in Dickens on July 14, 1925 in Dickens.

She spent her early life in Dickens County and returned here in 1976. She was a former supervisor at the Roosevelt School Cafeteria for 14 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer Bilberry, Spur; two daughters, Ozell Irby and Gayle Shaw, both of Lubbock; one brother, Charles Sims, Nashville, TN; four sisters, Inez Reese and Grace Jarrett, both of Floydada; Lillian Spencer, Conway, AR and Doris Garrett, West Memphis, AR; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Fred Neaves, Lloyd Hindman, M.H. Bragg, Mutt Hagins, Mac Driggers and Mutt Bostic.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbells Funeral Home.

Sgt. Cloyce Bilberry, 21, who had returned about a month ago from overseas service and was stationed at Camp Chaffee, AR, was killed Sunday in an automobile accident near Mena, AR, the parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Bilberry of Lubbock, Route 1, were notified.
He had served two years with the medical corps with a base on Okinawa, accompanying wounded soldiers to hospitals. He also served one year in the Italian theater.

Further details of the accident had not been learned by the parents this morning.

The body is to be taken to Chandler Funeral home at Spur, where the parents formerly lived. Funeral arrangements had not been completed this morning.

Survivors in addition to the parents, include two sisters, Ona Gayle, 12, student in Roosevelt Rural High school, and Mrs. E.M. Irby of 3405 E. Sixteenth in Lubbock.

Edna Ruth Bilberry, 89, of Spur died Friday May 25, 2007 in Crosbyton. Services were at 2 P.M., Sunday, May 27, 2007 at First Baptist church in Spur with Rev. Rory Mosley officiating. Burial was at Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bilberry was born December 10, 1917 in King County to Henry Lausin and Nancy Gage Futch. She was a graduate of Dickens High School. Shr married Bernice Walter Bilberry January 9, 1944 at Midway Baptist Church in Dickens County. He preceded her in death September 15, 1990. She was a resident of Dickens County for over 75 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Spur. She enjoyed playing the piano and was a well-known Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by her sons; B.W., Jerry, Ronnie Bilberry and wife Marcella, Son-in-law: Marion Stanberry, daughters; Connie Warren & husband David, and Barbara Kautz & husband Richard. She is also survived by one brother, H.L. Futch, Jr., one sister; Nan Jo Burnam, 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son; Roy Dan Bilberry and one daughter; Carol Ann Stanberry.

William Erwin of Arlington, Va. and M. Jean Erwin of Burbank, California are surviving step-children. Ruth's ancestors are stated to be Richard Carder, one of the original purchasers of Aquidneck Island from the Narraganset Indians in 1638.
