Mrs. Myrtle Davis
The funeral of Mrs. Myrtle Davis, 27, wife of Ernest Davis of Lawton, was conducted in the Elgin Baptist church Thursday afternoon by Rev. C. D. Farmer, in the presence of a large crowd of relatives and sympathizing friends.
Mrs. Davis was a member of a Baptist church in Lawton and a faithful wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, three sons, an infant dauter, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Black, formerly of Elgin but now living in Arizona, and four sisters, Mrs. Dora Scott of Lawton, May, Velma Lee and Beatrice and three brothers, Leslie, Jewel and Jackie Black; all with their parents in Arizona.
She was the niece of George and John Stinnett, Mrs. Martha White, Mrs. A. Graves of Elgin, Charles Stinnett, Frederick and Mrs. Lytha Stephens of Paradise, Texas. She was laid to rest in the Elgin cemetery with Lawton Funeral Home in charge.

Funeral Services Where to Be Held Thursday Afternoon

Mrs. Myrtle Grace Dawes, wife of E. Dawes, 211 I avenue, died Wednesday afternoon at the city residence.
A son born shortly before the mother's death was reported doing nicely Thursday.
Mrs. Dawes was born Jan. 21, 1906. she was married to Dawes Jan 21 1927.
Besides her husband and infant son three other children survive, Eunice Grace, 6; Ernest Drew, 5; and Johnny Luther, four years old, and her father, John Black of New Mexico.
Mrs. Dawes was a member of the Missionary Baptist church.
The family came to Lawton about five years ago. Formerly they resided in the Elgin community.
Funeral services where scheduled to be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Elgin Baptist church with Rev. C. D. Farmer pastor, officiating. Burial was to be made in the Elgin cemetery.
