Andrew Steve Foldesi was born on August 11, 1911 in Barnett township of Roseau county near Greenbush, the son of Michael and Agnes (Meier) Foldesi. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and graduated from the eighth grade.
On July 27, 1937, he married Bertha Wittak. At an early age, Andrew and a friend went to Dakota to work as farm hands. He also worked at a Hibbing taconite plant for one summer. Andrew worked at the sugar beet plant in Drayton, N. D. and then at Polaris Industries in Roseau for seven years before his retirement. Through the years, Andrew and his wife shared their home with 24 foster children.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha; three sons, Richard (Marianne) of Monticello, Kevin (Kathy) of New Brighton and John (Debbie) of Moorhead; two daughters, Carol Brouwer of Golden, Colo. and Kathleen (Gerald) Murray of Los Angeles, Calif.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Leopold (Louise) of Greenbush; and two sisters, Laura Shafer of Greenbush and Euphemia "Helen" Stevens of Minneapolis.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents; eight children, Harold Gene, Harry Steven John, Sharon Marie, Andrew Steve and four infants; two brothers, George and Emil; three sisters, Rose Foldesi, Myrtle Smith and Applone Schires; and a half-sister, Minnie Van Brunt. A00003B2000MY23

Leopold Joseph Foldesi was born on October 16, 1919 in Barnett Township of Roseau County near Greenbush, the son of Michael and Agnes (Meier) Foldesi. He grew up and attended school in Barnett Township.
On June 18, 1940, Leopold married Louise Zins at Greenbush. He was a lifelong farmer and also worked at Polaris Industries in Roseau.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening.
Leopold is survived by his wife, Louise; three daughters, Shirley (Fred) Nickolaus of Cottage Grove, Sharon Paquin of Greenbush and Carolyn (Steve) Hadfield of Lino Lakes; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Laura Shafer of Greenbush and Euphemia "Helen" Stevens of Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Donna Beito; a son in infancy; three brothers, George, Emil and Andrew Foldesi; three sisters, Rose Foldesi, Myrtle Smith and Applone Schires; and a half sister, Minnie VanBrunt.

Funeral for Cletus A. Atkinson, 81, of Springtown was March 7 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial was at Cottondale Cemetery.
Atkinson died Monday, March 3, 2008, in Tyler.
Born Sept. 7, 1926, in Paradise to William and Litha Stinett Stevens, she was a Paradise High School graduate. She married Warren Thomas Atkinson Jan. 14, 1946, in Bowie. She was a retired secretary for the Federal Aviation Administration.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 26, 1982; five sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Zollie Atkinson and wife, Margaret, of Spring and Anthony Atkinson and wife, Tammy, of Laneville; grandchildren, Melissa, Kristin, Shane, Derick and Charlotte; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cleo Moss of Fort Worth, Nora West of Nevada and Thelma Woods of Fort Worth.

Mr. Meadows, born July 29, 1924, in Wise County, served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Mobjack in the South Pacific during World War II. He married Lenos Elaine Adams on June 16, 1946, in Amarillo. He had been an Amarillo resident since 1959. He was an automotive body repairman and worked for Wayne Taylor's Auto Body Shop, Hedgecoke Auto Body Shop and Holiday Oldsmobile. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a volunteer at Catholic Family Service. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenos Meadows; his parents; and a brother, Johnnie Meadows.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann Lewis and husband Daryl of Amarillo and Sandy Powell and husband Dick of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; two sisters, Ruth Adams of Paradise and Helen Grazynor and husband George of Lewisville; two brothers, Raymond Meadows and Dean Meadows and wife Lucy, all of Paradise; seven grandchildren, Marci Chapman and husband Gary, Jana Smith and husband Roger, Casey Schaef and husband Shane, Kari Neeley and husband James, Dr. Tracy Exley and husband Dustin, Dr. Robyn Powell and Janea Dawson and husband Matt; seven great-grandchildren; and extended family, Jim and Betty Martin and family and Joe and Willie Martin and family.

C.L. was born on July 2, 1927, the son of Joseph E. and Mary Eliza Laxson Keefer. He was born in Arlington, but lived in Justin for a large part of his life. Aretha was born on Oct. 31, 1930, the daughter of Charlie and Mary Etta Stevens Finley. She was born and raised in Wise County. On May 28, 1949, the couple was married near Decatur. They were at each other's side for the remainder of their lives.
C.L., a Baptist minister, pastored Central Baptist Church in Midlothian for nearly 20 years. He also served as a missionary on the Texas-Mexico border for a few years. Aretha assisted and supported him in his ministry. The couple also owned and operated an appliance repair business in both Midlothian and Cleburne. They were members of Bible Baptist Church in Waxahachie. They moved to Woodbury in 2001.
C.L. served his country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by brothers, Melvin Robert Keefer of Saginaw and David Paul Keefer of Krum.
Aretha was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Finley. She is survived by brothers, Frankie Bob Finley of Kansas, Ben Finley of Sanger and David Finley of Yoder, Colo.; and sisters, Litha Moss of Decatur, Earlyn Hood of Talco, Mary Barbara Thedford of Lolita, Peggy Meadows of Rhome and Lottie Sue Coen of Fort Worth.
Survivors: The couple is survived by their children, Myra May Baker and husband, Dale Wayne, of Fort Worth, Alvin Ray Keefer and wife, Letcia, of Rhome, Joyce Reid and husband, Norvell, of Woodbury and Larry Dale Keefer of Irving; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
