Geneva Faye Schwarte, 84 of Nacogdoches, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2004.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor James E. Young of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the Reverend William David Rice of Crossroads Baptist Church of Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Mrs. Schwarte was born December 16, 1919, in Fletcher, Oklahoma, to Clyde and Jewel Knight Lamb. She was a resident of Nacogdoches for 27 years and was a member of Ladys Guild at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Schwarte; and sisters, Lucille Hamilton, Betty Cagle and Lois Lamb.
Survivors include sons, Ralph Davenport and wife, Carol, of Thousand Oaks, California, Gregory Schwarte and wife, Betty, of Novato, California, and Page Schwarte and wife, Armel, of Hemmet, California; sister, Billie Cowley of Marlow, Oklahoma; nieces, Beverly Eubank of Nacogdoches, Texas, Cheryl Rice of Tyler, Texas, and Marsha Bess of Marlow, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial donations in her honor may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, 2508 Appleby Sand Road, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches, Texas.
