Grace Lee Howell, 93, of Baytown was born March 10, 1915 in Loeb and passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 in a local hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Baytown and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Goose Creek Chapter #798.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joel and Grace Doss and is survived by her husband E. H. "Bill" Howell of Baytown. They were married January 23, 1923 and celebrated their 75th anniversary this year. She is also survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Allen of Baytown, Barbara and Collins Steward of Katy and Carol and Phil Badillo of Baytown; and 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Phil Badillo, Greg Robertson, Jim Mortensen, Mark Howell, Doug Schaefer and Jerry Lane.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday morning, April 30, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. with her son-in-law Collins Steward officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart.
