Olive C. Fuelle, 96, of Teutopolis died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Evergreen Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Teutopolis, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church with a 5:30 p.m. Council of Catholic Women rosary and a 6:30 p.m. parish wake service. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Effingham, or the donor's choice. Bauer Funeral Home, Teutopolis, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fuelle was born June 18, 1911, in rural Effingham, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Dust) Grunloh. She married Virgil F. Fuelle Nov. 24, 1931, and he preceded her in death in 1978. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Fuelle was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Teutopolis, St. Francis Council of Catholic Women, Third Order of St. Francis, Effingham Garden Club and was a charter member of St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Effingham, where she volunteered for more than 40 years.
Survivors include her sons, Jack (wife, Sheila) of Teutopolis and Jim (wife, Mary Ann) of Terre Haute, Ind.; daughters, Marilyn (husband, Fred) Meyer of Teutopolis and Sue (husband, Frank) Hoelscher of Effingham; brothers, Harold Grunloh, Clifford (wife, Marian) Grunloh and Don (wife, Dorothy) Grunloh, all of Effingham; sister, Jeane (husband, Leonard) Kinkelaar of Effingham; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one grandchild, Mary; one great-grandchild, Leigh; one great-great-grandchild, Laney Jo; four brothers, Richard, Louis, Joseph and Gerald; and three sisters, Louise, Lucille and Hilda.
